Alban's Blog

The original promise of the web was a decentralized network where everybody was both a reader and a publisher.

But over the past ~30 years, the internet has become much more commercial. Every page is optimized for engagement, so your attention can be resold to ad companies. It just kinda sucks.

This website is my tiny piece of the internet. It's my vote for a slower, less optimized internet. It reminds me of what the web was like when I first logged on in the early '90s. (Mostly because each blog will get ~2 page views.)

I'm the Head of Marketing for Buzzsprout, a podcast SaaS built on RSS.

Before that I was a lawyer, and before that a teacher in rural Haiti.

If you're into health and fitness, Haiti, podcasting, sci-fi books, or anything on my blog. Please say hi!
